20% alc/vol double extraction tincture made from Lion’s Mane (Hericium Erinaceus) mushrooms.
Dosage Recommendations: 1 full dropper (1 tsp) per day. We recommend taking in the morning because some users experience a boost in energy and brain stimulation. Sublingual (under the tongue) absorption is not necessary, we encourage adding dosage to morning beverages such as coffee, juice, or tea.
Evans Family Foods grows its own fresh mushrooms, and from that raw product we extract the complex medicinal compounds using two different processes. First the water soluble fats are extracted with heat by submerging the mushrooms in water and keeping them at exactly 186 degrees fahrenheit for 72 hours. Then the mushrooms are compressed, removing the water along with all of the extracted water soluble fats, and that solution is kept refrigerated until it is combined with the second solution.
To extract flavonoids, sterols, triterpenes, and other beneficial hydrophobic fats the mushrooms are then submerged in pure grain alcohol for 6 weeks. The alcohol solution and the water solution are combined to create a 20% alcohol by volume shelf stable tincture. As a result the compounds in the tincture are more digestible to the human body than they are when ingesting the mushroom itself raw OR cooked.
